- Powered industrial lifts are electric.
- Machine heat is recycled to provide heat on the loading docks.
- Recycled pallets are utilized.
- Pallets are repaired and excess pallets are utilized by another factory.
- Compressors for manufacturing are high efficiency and are not run off shifts. Air is not maintained after hours.
- All corrugated cores are a 100% recycled product.
- Facilities collect all corrugated boxes for recycling.
- All metals are recycled including machine-part waste.
Our Offices
- Our building footprint is less than 50% of our property, providing expanses of green grass and trees between our buildings.
- A water retention area is maintained to ensure proper runoff.
- Brown water is conveyed to the municipal system and not discharged into the ground.
- Facilities are heated with clean burning natural gas.
- Compressors for air conditioning are on the North (shaded) side of the building to aid in efficiency.
- All office printer cartridges are recycled.
- Office forms are shredded for recycling.
- Copy paper is reused for internal documents or recycled.
- A printer consolidation study reduced office printer use by 15%.
- Mapping is in progress for all areas of the company to reduce paper use in the plant.
- Low energy lighting is used throughout the facilities.
- Exterior lights are on photo cells to maximize energy savings.
- Elimination of high output lighting to lower electrical use.
- All soaps and cleaners in the facility are biodegradable.
